North American Coordinator
Ryan MacDowell joined the Dearwalk American Learning Institute in 2019 as the North American Coordinator. He has supported educational institutions globally in roles spanning student services, development, and communications for over 10 years. He now serves as the Communications Strategist and Projects Coordinator at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for the MIT Teaching + Learning Lab, a leader in cultivating best practices for teaching, learning, research, assessment, and evaluation.

Ryan is personally committed to improving the quality and accessibility of education worldwide by advancing educational technology, educational media, and student leadership development.

As part of his role as DALI's North American Coordinator, Ryan manages the English curriculum development in partnership with local teachers in Nepal and serves as one of the American teachers of English as a Foreign Language (EFL). In his home state of Massachusetts, he also volunteers as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher for MIT's ESL Program for Service Employees.

Ryan has a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology and Behavioral Science from McGill University in Quebec, Canada, and is now pursuing a Masters in Digital Media Design at Harvard Extension School. Prior to working at MIT, he founded and directed a video production company focused on promoting social impact (2013-18) and developed student leadership programming for McGill University (2011-13).

Samjhana Pokhrel joined Deerwalk Institute of Technology in 2015 and has been part of Deerwalk Group ever since. She leads Deerwalk Compware's operations in the role of Senior Operation Manager and has wide range of business and interpersonal skills to succeed. She is responsible for managing both infrastructures and personnels. She also monitors and analyzes the current system of operations at Deerwalk Compware to make sure it’s effective and works out a strategy for improving if necessary.

She also serves as Administrative and Placement officer at DWIT. She currently manages the placements for over 200 students on the BSc.CSIT program in DWIT, and all the associated tasks pre- and post-placement. She has expanded her role as an counsellor to students as well and is an integral member of DWIT's academic team.

She holds degree of Bachelor in Information Management, BIM from College of Applied Business, Tribhuvan University. She is currently pursuing her Masters in English, from IACER, Pokhara University.

Naren is currently working as a Vice-Principal of Deerwalk Sifal School. Naren is a highly enthusiastic reader and a traveler with a keen interest in microbiological and epidemiological research. He completed his Bachelor's in Microbiology and Masters in Medical Microbiology from Tribhuwan University, Nepal. He has several publications to his credit.
